First off the bat (wink) let me say that MIDTOON does not condone the use of violence against women, or any other kind. In Erik's case, the protection of a loved one takes precedence and the use of necesary force is justified. Even though Lisa is a brat, and not really Erik's wife, she is still part of the family, and is not to be left in the hands of a drunken pervert, no matter how big and intimidating, so he can take advantage of her...

Lisa's face was hit and dragged on the stairs, but Frankie is in much worse shape. There will be more info on the next episode about their condition (mostly Lisa's). MIDTOON is diferent from other cartoons in that whatever happens, really happens (unless you are in a dream, or you are Javier without his medication). If a character is hurt or dies on one episode, they will be hurt or dead on the next. In some cartoons, characters are able to suffer lethal damage, or even die, only to be on perfect shape right after, but that's not the case here. Oh, and by the way, this has not been mentioned recently, but MIDTOON is rated PG-13 for cartoon violence, suggestive content and situations and the ocassional use of alcohol.
